The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional football franchise based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. The Eagles have won three NFL championships and played in two Super Bowl games; these were in 1980 (losing 27–10 to the Oakland Raiders) and in 2004 (losing 24–21 to the New England Patriots). As of 2016, the Eagles are the only team in the NFC EAST never to have won a Super Bowl championship.
